Kathy became a real estate agent because she likes helping others. She believes you want to work with someone you know, like, and trust, a person that puts you first in the home-buying process.
Since customer service is a high priority, Kathy continues to expand her knowledge as an expert in the real estate industry. She has earned the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, the SFR (Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource) designation, and has recently completed her designation of CRS (Certified Residential Specialist Designation). These highly recognized industry certifications provide Kathy with the latest in expertise, tools, and strategies to best serve her clients in today's ever-changing marketplace.
Kathy currently serves as the President of the Rocky Mount Area Association of Realtors and is involved with the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as numerous other civic organizations. Board Member of My Sister's House, she also serves as a volunteer for Communities in Schools.
Before beginning her real estate career, Kathy worked as an office adminstrator for several local medical practices. She also served as an active volunteer as an advocate for children's vision, at both the state and national levels.
Kathy has lived in Rocky Mount since 1985 and she and her husband, Tom, have always been active advocates in the community, along with their two children.
